About PDFPax

PDFPax is a small, independent project: a set of free PDF tools that run entirely in your web browser.

It started from a simple frustration. Editing a PDF online usually means one of two bad options: install expensive desktop software, or upload your private documents to a stranger's server. Neither feels right for a quick task like merging two files or shrinking one that's too big to email.

So PDFPax takes a different approach. Every tool on this site — merge, split, compress, convert, rotate, extract text, protect — does its work with code running directly in your browser tab. Your files are never uploaded anywhere. When you close the tab, nothing is left behind on any server, because there was never a server involved in handling your documents.

What we believe

Privacy isn't an extra layer; it's the starting point. We can't leak, sell or lose your files, because we never receive them. This also means the tools work the same way for everyone, with no account and no tracking of what you do with your documents.

Simple tools should be free. Merging PDFs or fixing a rotated page shouldn't cost money or require a login. Every tool here is free, with no watermark on the output and no "pro" tier gating basic features.

Honest limits. Browser-based processing has real constraints — very large files are limited by your device's memory — and we'd rather tell you that plainly than pretend otherwise.

Who runs this

PDFPax is run as a small independent project, not a venture-backed company. There is no sales team, no investors and no roadmap of enterprise features — just a focus on keeping these everyday tools fast, free and private.

If something doesn't work the way you expect, or there's a tool you'd like to see, the best way to reach us is through the contact page. Feedback from actual users is how this site improves.
